Hobart® Fabshield® 21B .030" Flux-Cored Welding Wire (E71T-11) is a self-shielded wire that requires no external shielding gas, making it especially effective for welding thin-gauge mild and galvanized steel in all positions. Designed for use with DC straight polarity, it helps prevent burn-through on lighter materials. While a solid wire like ER70S-6 may produce a cleaner bead with less spatter, the cost savings and convenience of gas-free operation make E71T-11 an excellent choice—particularly for outdoor or field welding environments.
